Mumbai: Shanaya Kapoor has introduced her new social circle, which notably does not include her regular companions, Ananya Panday and Suhana Khan.
On Monday, she shared several photos on her Instagram, showcasing moments with her newly formed “gang.” In some images, she is seen having fun with her pet dog and a soft toy, captioning the post simply with the word “gang.” Recently, she also posted an adorable throwback video from her childhood, where she is playfully dressed as a tiger and interacting with her parents. In the clip, her mother, Maheep, asks her to pose, but young Shanaya playfully refuses, while her father, Sanjay, humorously teases, “Who is that cheetah? Ohh…”
Fans responded with delight to the nostalgic video, with Sonam Kapoor calling her “Cutey,” and Maheep joking, “Always firing me right from the beginning.” Bhavana Pandey expressed her admiration, saying, “Loved the firing you gave,” and Sanjay Kapoor simply remarked, “Roar.”
Currently, Shanaya is gearing up for her Bollywood debut in the film “Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan,” directed by Santosh Singh. The film, adapted from Ruskin Bond’s short story “The Eyes Have It,” features Shanaya as a theatre artist alongside Vikrant Massey, who portrays a blind musician.
On January 30, she celebrated completing a filming schedule for the project by sharing a picture of a clapboard and a cake, both inscribed with “schedule wrap.” Filming commenced in Mussoorie last October, with additional scenes slated to be shot in Europe. While an official release date is yet to be announced, the film is anticipated to hit theaters by mid-2025.
