Mumbai: Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha will marry her longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal on Sunday, June 23. Ahead of the wedding, rumors were on the line that her father, Actor-Politician Shatrughan Sinha, and other family members were not happy and wont be a part of the wedding. But as of now, the veteran actor has put full stop on such rumors saying he’ll attend the wedding.
In a recent interview, Shatrughan confirmed that he would attend his daughter’s wedding festivities. He added that his daughter is capable and has full right to choose her life partner. Adorning both of them, he said that his daughter looks perfect with Zaheer.
Shatrughan said in an interview, “Mujhe btayiye, ye kiski life h? Ye meri iklauti beti Sonakshi ki zindagi hai, jis par mujhe bohot garv hai, or jis se me bohot pyaar karta hu. Vo mujhe ‘Pillar of Strength’ bulati h. Me definitely is shadi me mojood rahunga, or rahu bhi kyo na? Uski khushi me meri khushi hai. Sonakshi ko apna partner or shaadi se judi sabhi cheese khud chun ne ka haq hai”. (Translated as Please tell me whose life is this? She is my only daughter who I am very proud of. I love her..she calls me ‘Pillar of strength’. I will definitely attend the wedding and why I should not…I am happy with her happiness..Sonakshi has full right to make decision about her life partner and marriage).
According to him, Zaheer and Sonakshi look perfect together. On this note, he said, “Me abhi Mumbai me hi hu. Me yaha na kewal beti ki taakat banker khada hu, balki un k asli kawach ke roop me bhi mojood hoon. Sonakshi or Zaheer ko ek sath zindagi guzarni hai or vo ek sath bohot ache lagte hai.”
News was there that Shatrughan would not attend his daughter’s wedding, but he put an end to the rumors today. He said, “Me unhe apna dialogue, ‘Khamosh…’ Bol kar savdhaan karna chahunga. Unse kahunga ki ye tumhara kaam nahi hai. Sirf, apne kaam se matlab rakho.”
Sonakshi and Zaheer’s wedding is fixed for June 23. The duo will make a registrar marriage in the morning and will organize a grand reception that will be graced by family and friends.
