Mumbai: Actress Surbhi Jyoti, known for her work in television, has officially tied the knot with Sumit Suri. She recently took to Instagram to share enchanting photos from their wedding celebration.
In the images, the couple can be seen taking their vows against the stunning backdrop of Jim Corbett in Uttarakhand. Surbhi captioned the post with, “Happy wedding.”
Originally from Jalandhar, Punjab, Surbhi began her career in regional theater and films, and she also worked as a radio jockey. She has appeared in Punjabi films such as ‘Ik Kudi Punjab Di,’ ‘Raula Pai Gaya,’ and ‘Munde Patiala De,’ along with the Punjabi TV series ‘Akiyaan To Door Jayen Na’ and ‘Kach Diyan Wanga.’
Surbhi gained widespread recognition for her role as Zoya Farooqui in the romantic drama ‘Qubool Hai,’ for which she received numerous accolades. She further captivated audiences with her portrayal of Bela Sehgal, a shape-shifting serpent, in the supernatural series ‘Naagin 3.’
Ahead of her wedding, Surbhi’s ‘Qubool Hai’ co-star Karan Singh Grover shared his congratulations on social media, posting a photo from the wedding festivities. He wrote, “Congratulations @surbhijyoti and Sumit! Wish you a lifetime of joy and fun and laughter and awesomeness! Love you lots.”
Karan of late appeared in the Hrithik Roshan film ‘Fighter,’ where he played Sartaj Gill. Initially, Karan was scheduled to have his character captured and killed by militants in Pakistan, but he requested script adjustments, feeling that his character’s death would not appropriately honor the film’s storyline.
