New Delhi: Etihad Airways’ Delhi-Abu Dhabi flight EY217 was cancelled late Saturday evening due to a technical fault with the aircraft. This caused hours of inconvenience for nearly 200 passengers at Delhi airport.
The flight was scheduled to depart at 9:15 PM. According to passengers, they had already boarded the plane when the crew informed them of the technical problem and asked them to disembark.
Flight cancelled after several hours of waiting
Passengers reported waiting for several hours before the airline informed them of the flight cancellation, forcing them to seek alternative travel options to reach Abu Dhabi.
According to flight tracking website Flightradar24, EY217 was to be operated by a Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
