Firozpur: The Firozpur division of Punjab received its first Vande Bharat Express train today, marking a significant milestone in the region’s railway connectivity.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the train via video conferencing, as the modern semi-high-speed train No. 26462/26461 began its inaugural journey between Firozpur and Delhi.

Daily Connectivity for Over 2,000 Passengers

Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for fulfilling the long-pending demand of the region.
“Starting today, November 8, people from Punjab can travel from Firozpur to Delhi on the Vande Bharat train. This launch will greatly benefit the people of Malwa and boost trade,” said Bittu.
