Today and the next three days are dangerous in Punjab. A yellow alert for rain has been issued in three districts of Punjab, Pathankot, Hoshiarpur and Rupnagar. At the same time, good rain is expected in many districts. Additionally, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for rain in Mohali, Rupnagar, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, and Hoshiarpur.
Orange alert issued till October 2
But along with Punjab, an orange alert has been issued in Jammu and Kashmir till October 2, and a yellow alert in Himachal Pradesh. If there is heavy rain again in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal, then Punjab will have to bear the loss directly.
However, yesterday i.e. on Thursday, there was no rain anywhere in the state. Due to this, the water level of the Ravi has also decreased a bit.
The situation has become serious in 7 districts due to the water being released from the dams. The flood gates of Pong Dam had to be opened on Thursday afternoon, because on Thursday morning the water level had increased from the danger mark of 1390 feet to 1396 feet.
