Jalandhar: Metrological department has issue yellow alert of rain Punjab districts adjoining with Himachal Pradesh i.e. Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar (Ropar) and Pathankot. The Meteorological Department did not issue any kind of alert today, but there is a possibility of rain in 11 districts.
According to the data released by the Meteorological Center (IMD), there is a 50% chance of rain in 11 districts of Punjab, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, Kapurthala, Moga, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, SAS Nagar, Fatehgarh Sahib and Patiala, while the possibility of rain in other districts is very low.
Although the temperature in Punjab has dropped by 1.7 degrees, the average temperature is still 1.6 degrees above normal. The temperature in Bathinda, Punjab was recorded at 39.2 degrees. The maximum temperature in Fatehgarh Sahib was recorded 32.9 degrees.
Rain also improve the air quality index of Punjab. According to Pollution Control Board air quality index improve with rain. In all the districts AQI level has been recorded below 100 i.e. that is much better for breathing and health. Near Pahgwara Mauli AQI level recorded 35. and maximum AQI level recorded in Amritsar, Jalandhar And Ludhiana i.e. 86 to 90 in index.
