Jalandhar: A case of firing has been reported in Jalandhar, Punjab, after a girl was molested late at night. Police recovered a country-made pistol and 3 cartridges from the scene. According to reports, the girl was at the house to retrieve some items when she was molested by some individuals.
When the girl’s family attempted to resolve the situation, the other party arrived at the house, vandalized it, and then fired shots. Police from Thana Division Number-8 arrived at the scene to investigate the incident. Late at night, the police filed an FIR in the case and have since arrested 5 suspects.

The victim’s mother said that her daughter had left the house to get some stuff on Saturday night. During this time, some miscreants molested her on the way. The victim protested and informed her family about the matter. When the family tried to settle the matter, the accused along with their companions attacked them with sharp weapons and country-made pistols. A young man suffered minor injuries in the incident.
The victim’s brother said that he had come to see the Sodhal fair. When he returned, his brother was crying. There he came to know that his family had been attacked. After which the accused Mona and her companion Rocky and others attacked.
