Amritsar police solved the NRI house firing mystery, Arrest 5 including ex-wife’s father, LOC issued against both attackers

Amritsar: The Amritsar police have solved the mystery of firing on an NRI in his house on Saturday morning with in 24 hours. In this case, the police has arrested the father of the first wife of the injured NRI Sukhchain Singh, as well as 4 others who had helped the attackers. The police have identified the attackers and claims that they will also be caught shortly.

After investigation, it has become clear that the attackers are Gurinder Singh Sukha Garnad resident Kapurthala and Gurkirat Singh Gurri resident Jalandhar. The police has arrested Jagjit Singh and Chamkaur Singh, residents of Tarn Taran. The accused had helped the attackers before and after the incident. A hotel owner Jagdambar Attri and Abhilash Bhaskar have also been arrested. They had given shelter to the attackers in their hotel without ID.

The people who attacked the NRI were his first wife’s family members who are living in America. Amritsar Police Commissioner Ranjit Singh Dhillon said that this was a family matter. The police investigation also made it clear that the money was transferred to the attackers by the deceased wife’s brother. The deceased wife’s family members sitting abroad had done the entire planning.

On the other hand, yesterday a team of Amritsar Police reached Tanda in Hoshiarpur, the deceased wife’s maternal home. From where the deceased wife’s father has been arrested. Apart from this, the 4 others who have been arrested are accused of helping the attackers.

Special DGP Doke said that one of the accused who fired the shots is from Jalandhar and the other is from Kapurthala. Both have a criminal background. 10 cases are registered against one of them, some of which are NDPS and fighting cases. While NDPS cases are registered against the other.

LOC has been issued against both of them so that they cannot flee abroad. The details of the bike on which the attackers came have also become available with the police.
