Punjab Desk: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Punjab is scripting a new chapter in education. As part of the ongoing “Education Revolution,” not only students but teachers too are now receiving world-class training. Mann, himself the son of a teacher, firmly believes: “Teaching is not a job it is a commitment to shaping the future.”
So far, the state government has sent 199 headmaster, 234 principals visit to Singapore, 216 teachers in finland for training based on global teaching models. Additionally, 152 school heads have undergone advanced leadership training at IIM Ahmedabad, while 144 primary teachers have received specialized training at the University of Turku in Finland.
The next batch of educators is set to depart abroad later this month. The impact of these international programs is becoming increasingly visible in Punjab’s classrooms. Teachers are now adopting dialogue-based learning, technology-driven tools, and interactive methods, making education more engaging, dynamic, and inspiring.
To free teachers from administrative burdens, the government has appointed 1,920 cluster managers, allowing educators to focus entirely on teaching. Punjab is now emerging not just as a state of educational reform, but as a leader in educational excellence where every teacher becomes a beacon of knowledge and every student a ray of the future.
