There is an increase in the price of gold and silver today i.e. on 21st August. According to the India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the price of 24 carat gold has increased by Rs 20 to Rs 98,966 per 10 grams. Earlier, gold was at Rs 98,946. On August 8, gold had made an all-time high of Rs 1,01,406.
The price of silver has increased by Rs 1,745 today to Rs 1,12,939 per kg. Earlier, silver was at Rs 1,11,194. On July 23, silver had made an all-time high of Rs 1,15,850.

Gold has become costlier by ₹ 22,804 so far this year
This year, i.e. from January 1 till now, the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold has increased from Rs 76,162 to Rs 98,966 by Rs 22,834. At the same time, the price of silver has also increased from Rs 86,017 per kg to Rs 26,922 to Rs 1,12,939. Last year, i.e. in 2024, gold became costlier by Rs 12,810.
