New Delhi, August 28: Silver has reached its all-time high today i.e. on 28 August. According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), today the price of silver has increased by Rs 818 to Rs 1,16,688 per kg. Earlier its price was Rs 1,15,870.
The price of 24-carat gold has increased by Rs 355 to Rs 1,01,239 per 10 grams. Earlier, gold was at Rs 1,00,884. On August 8, gold had made an all-time high of Rs 1,01,406.

Gold has become costlier by Rs 25,077 so far this year
This year, i.e. from January 1 till now, the price of 10 grams of 24 carat gold has increased by Rs 25,077 from Rs 76,162 to Rs 1,01,239. At the same time, the price of silver has also increased by Rs 30,671 from Rs 86,017 per kg to Rs 1,16,688. Last year, i.e. in 2024, gold became costlier by Rs 12,810.
This year gold can go up to Rs 1 lakh 4 thousand
Ajay Kedia, director of Kedia Advisory, says that geopolitical tension remains due to US tariffs. This is supporting gold and its demand is also increasing. In such a situation, gold can go up to Rs 1 lakh 4 thousand per 10 grams this year. On the other hand, silver can go up to Rs 1 lakh 30 thousand this year.
