New Delhi: Today (April 8), the prices of gold and silver have reached new lifetime highs. The gold contracts on MCX rose by ₹440 or 0.62%, hitting a life high of ₹71,080 per 10 grams. Similarly, silver futures reached a new peak of ₹82,064 with an increase of ₹1076 or 1.33% after the dollar index (DXY) slipped, hovering near the 104.25 mark.
Over the last five trading sessions, the dollar index has declined 0.73%. Last week, June Gold futures on MCX hit a life high of ₹70,699 per 10 grams and ended at ₹70,599, lower by ₹37 or 0.05%.
