Moga: Brother and Sister Beaten After Suspected Police Informer Claim

In a shocking incident in Gurugram’s Sector 69, a 19-year-old woman was allegedly held hostage and brutally beaten by her live-in partner inside a paying guest accommodation. The incident came to light on 19 February 2026 when her mother contacted police after fears for her safety.

Victim Seriously Injured, Referred to AIIMS

Police said the victim, a biotechnology student at GD Goenka University from Tripura, was found with multiple serious injuries. She was first taken to a government hospital in Gurugram but, due to the critical nature of her wounds, was later referred to the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi for advanced care.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), Hitesh Yadav, confirmed that her condition was being closely monitored and that preliminary medical reports showed severe trauma from the assault.

 Accused Arrested After Police Action

Responding swiftly to the distress call, Badshahpur police teams reached the PG and arrested the accused, identified as Shivam (19), a resident of Delhi. He has been taken into custody and a case registered under relevant sections of the law.

According to police, the couple had met in September 2025 and were living together, with talks of marriage underway between their families before the relationship soured and turned violent.

 Police Investigation Continues

Authorities said they are conducting a detailed investigation into the circumstances that led to the violent confrontation. Police will examine whether suspicion, jealousy or other personal issues triggered the assault and whether additional charges apply based on further evidence.
