In the village of Nehrugarh, an Army personnel employed at an Ordnance Depot committed suicide by hanging himself inside his home. The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Yogesh, who was currently posted as a T-Mate at the Army Ordnance Depot located in Barmer, Rajasthan. He had returned home on leave approximately 25 days prior.
Body Found in Room on Wednesday Morning
On Tuesday night, Yogesh went to sleep in a separate room within the house. When he did not emerge from the room by around 5:00 AM on Wednesday morning, his family members opened the door. Inside, Yogesh was found hanging from the ceiling fan. His relatives immediately rushed him to the Civil Hospital in Kosli, where doctors pronounced him dead.
Yogesh Was Suffering from Mental Stress
Upon receiving information about the incident, police personnel from the Nahad outpost arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and initiated an investigation. The police did not recover any suicide note from the site. Family members stated that Yogesh had been under mental stress for the past few days; however, the specific cause of this stress remains unclear.
Married in 2024
Yogesh had married a resident of Baiharampur in the year 2024. He is survived by a son, who is approximately one and a quarter years old, while his wife is currently pregnant. Yogesh’s mother had passed away previously. His surviving family members include his father, grandparents, and a younger brother.
Manoj Kumar, the SHO of the Kosli Police Station, stated that the body has been handed over to the family members following the post-mortem examination, and an investigation into the matter is underway.
