Chandigarh: Haryana has secured the top position nationwide in the latest iGOT Karmayogi performance ranking, recording a composite score of 60.72 in Category B, which covers states with between 1 lakh and 5 lakh employees.
Haryana surpassed Karnataka, which scored 60.47, and Telangana, which recorded 60.39, in the category.
The ranking was released on the iGOT Karmayogi platform, managed by the Central Government’s Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), and reflects efforts towards employee efficiency, capacity building and continuous learning.
Based on a communication from Chhavi Bhardwaj, CEO of Karmayogi Bharat, the Office of the Chief Secretary through the Training Department has issued directions to administrative secretaries for further action.
Haryana Asked to Onboard All Frontline Workers
The state government has been directed to onboard all frontline employees onto the iGOT Karmayogi platform.
Haryana has also been asked to confirm the total number of frontline employees by September 30, 2026.
The move is aimed at expanding participation in the government’s capacity-building and training programmes across the frontline workforce.
One Hour of Training Every Month
Government employees will be encouraged to complete at least one hour of coursework or training every month through the iGOT Karmayogi platform.
The initiative is intended to promote continuous learning and skill development among government employees.
The state will also work with the ATI (Haryana Institute of Public Administration) to develop domain-specific courses covering state government schemes, policies, regulations and missions.
These courses will be developed in regional languages, including Hindi, with the ATI’s digital learning lab and content studio being used for content creation.
Over 700 Courses on AI and Cybersecurity
More than 700 advanced courses are available free of cost on the Karmayogi platform’s Marketplace.
The courses cover emerging and professional areas including Generative AI, cybersecurity, cloud computing, data analytics and project management.
As part of the cybersecurity training initiative, government employees are required to earn the ‘Cyber Security Proficient’ badge by completing the ‘Foundation of Cyber Safety in Public Service’ course.
The latest ranking and directives underline Haryana’s focus on digital learning, employee capacity building and technology-enabled training across the state government.
