Two brothers riding a motorcycle died late Saturday night after being struck by an unidentified vehicle near Bolni Chowk on Kotkasim Road in Rewari. The deceased have been identified as Nitin (21) and Prince (20), residents of Bhageri in the Khairthal district of Rajasthan. The brothers had visited their sister’s home in Sangwari village, Rewari, for the Teej festival and were returning when the accident occurred.

Both brothers were unmarried and worked for a private company. On Saturday, they rode their motorcycle to their sister’s house in Sangwari village to celebrate Teej. After completing the festival rituals, they set off back to their own village late at night.
As they reached Bolni Chowk on Kotkasim Road, an unidentified vehicle collided with their motorcycle. Preliminary investigations suggest the vehicle involved was a trailer truck. The impact was so severe that both brothers sustained critical injuries and died on the spot.
Upon receiving news of the accident, a police team from the Kasola police station arrived at the scene. The police took possession of the bodies and placed them in the Civil Hospital mortuary. On Sunday, the bodies were handed over to the family members following the completion of post-mortem formalities.
Kasola police have registered an FIR against the unidentified driver and launched a search operation. CCTV footage from the surrounding area is being examined to identify the accused driver. The news of the brothers’ deaths has plunged the family into deep grief; a somber atmosphere also prevails at their sister’s home in Sangwari.
Festive joy turns to mourning
Villagers Sunil and Raju remarked that no one had imagined the festive joy would turn into tragedy. The family and fellow villagers are in a state of shock, and the relatives are inconsolable. The villagers have demanded that the police quickly identify the driver and take strict action against him.
