10 crore scam in Panipat labour department! FIR filed against two former officers

Panipat: A case of embezzlement of funds of the Haryana Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board by making fake cards in the name of workers has come to light. According to the information received, the amount of embezzlement can be up to 10 crores. Giving information, Subhash Chandra Patil, the lawyer who filed a case in this matter, said that more than 20 thousand fake cards have been made in this way. This includes employees and officers of the Labor Department, from notaries to the department.

Let us tell you that in February 2020, lawyer Subhash Chandra had complained for the first time in the CM window, in which it was told that by creating cards of fake workers, the brokers in connivance with the officials took crores from the board. Even a fake death certificate was made and the help of Rs 2 lakh was taken. A case has also been registered against a woman in this case.

The complainant alleged that the larger the amount taken from the board, the higher is the commission of the brokers and in this way, a commission of 30 to 50 percent was taken.

In fact, workers can take advantage of 21 schemes of the Labor Department, which include schemes like maternity and paternity benefits, Kanyadan Yojana, financial assistance for children’s education, Chief Minister Women Workers’ Honor Scheme, sewing machine scheme, and purchase of tools. The complainant has accused of embezzlement by taking advantage of these schemes.

Anyway, in this case, cases have been registered against the then Assistant Welfare Officer of Panipat Labor Department Narendra Kumar Singhal and the then Assistant Director Harendra Mann.
