A case of cyber fraud has come to light in Hisar. Hansi police has arrested two accused of cheating through fake customer care. The accused have been identified as Vikas of Bihar and Rajkumar of Kanauli. The arrested accused are being questioned by the police.
Search ATM customer care number from Google
The case is related to Dharambir, a resident of Ghirai. While withdrawing money from the ATM, the machine malfunctioned. Dharambir searched the ATM customer care number on Google. The accused introduced themselves as customer care representatives. They sent a link to Dharambir and asked him to enter the last five digits of the phone number in it. As soon as Dharambir did this, Rs 95,105 was deducted from his account.
24 thousand cash recovered from the accused
The police of Cyber Crime Police Station Hansi took immediate action and arrested both the accused. The police have also recovered Rs 24 thousand from the accused. Both the accused have been sent to jail.
