Hisar: Principal under fire for allegedly beats student over broken tap

Haryana: A 12-year-old boy studying in class 6th in a private school in Hansi, Hisar, Haryana was badly beaten by the principal. The principal was furious after seeing the broken water cooler in the child’s hand. The principal caned the child’s waist. After coming home, when the child lay down on the cot exhausted, the family members became suspicious and after that, he told the whole story of the beating. The family took him to Hansi Civil Hospital.

Rakesh Kumar, a resident of village Dhana Khurd in Hansi area, told that his nephew studies in the sixth class in Mother Teresa School located in Dhani Kumharan. Yesterday, when Himanshu was drinking water from the school water cooler, a boy pulled Himanshu from behind. Due to this, the water bottle from the water cooler got dislodged and came into his hand.

At the same time the school principal Praveen also arrived there. He started beating his nephew badly for breaking the water pipe. The school principal beat the child badly with sticks and even slaps. After this, when Himanshu came home in the afternoon and lay down on the bed. The family thought that he had come tired from school, that is why he lay down.

When the family members became suspicious and asked the child, he told that the principal had beaten him badly after his water broke. When his family members saw his waist, there were bruises on it. After this, when his uncle Rakesh called the principal, he did not even pick up the phone. After this, uncle and his mother reached Hansi Civil Hospital to get him medical treatment.

Uncle Rakesh told that he will file a complaint against the private school operator to the police. Even once before, the school principal had beaten his nephew badly. Now a similar act has been done again. After the matter came to notice, the reporter called Principal Praveen and told him the whole story and asked for his version. The principal listened to the whole thing, but instead of expressing his views, he disconnected the phone.
