In Panchkula elderly man swindles of Rs19.75 lac in trading investment scam

Panchkula: A case of cheating of Rs 19.75 lakh has come to light with 77-year-old Ramesh Kumar, a resident of Sector-12A, Panchkula, on the pretext of investing money in trading. Sector-12 Cyber Police Station has registered a case in this regard.

According to the police, Ramesh Kumar came in contact with Master Trust Trading Company through an app on April 4, 2024. The company sent him a link for stock trading and asked him to download the Master Trust app. After downloading the app, his account was opened, and he was asked to deposit money.

Ramesh Kumar deposited a total of Rs 19 lakh, 75 thousand, online in various accounts of Master Trust at different times. He used to see both the profit and loss of trading in his account. But when he tried to withdraw money, he failed. After this, Ramesh Kumar complained about the cybercrime portal.
