Panipat: An accident took place on GT Road, National Highway 44, outside Karhans village in Panipat district of Haryana. A speeding Fortuner driver hit a person. After the accident, the accused driver fled from the spot. The accident happened in front of the person’s son.
He immediately took his unconscious father to the hospital. The doctors declared him dead. A complaint about the accident was lodged with the police. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case of unintentional murder against the unknown driver.
In the complaint given to the Samalkha police station, Manjeet said that he is a resident of village Manana, district Panipat. His father used to work as a security guard. On July 13, his father had gone to work. He had gone to Panipat Market for some work. Father was returning home after finishing duty.
On the way, the father got out of the car near Karhans Nursery. Here, he started paying the fare to the auto driver. Meanwhile, a Fortuner driver came there at a very high speed, and in a few moments, he hit his father. After the accident, the accused fled by driving the car at a faster speed. His father died in the accident.
