Police have succeeded in arresting accused financier Somveer in the case of the death of four members of a family who committed suicide by consuming poison after being harassed by moneylenders in Gurunanakpura locality of the local city.
The police will take the accused on remand from the court. After this, the reasons for committing suicide can also be known. The second accused in this case, the son of a police personnel, is still absconding. On the complaint of the brother-in-law of the deceased Ashish Grover, Ateli police had registered a case against two named persons.
It is worth noting that on Sunday evening, Ashish and his wife Rupendra Kaur, son Gagandeep and Shandeep reached near Turkiyavas turn ahead of Neerpur flyover in their Thar car. There all four swallowed the poisonous substance.
