More nominations will be filed today for the elections of the Bar Association in Ambala, Haryana. Today is the last day for nominations for various posts. On the first day, only 7 nominations have been filed for all the posts. The atmosphere of the court is also hot due to the bar elections.
The nomination process will continue from 10 am to 4.30 pm today in the Ambala Bar Association elections. The applications will be scrutinized on February 20. Nominations can be withdrawn till 3 pm on February 21. After this, elections will be held on February 28 and the results will be declared in the evening itself. 1199 member advocates of the Ambala Bar Association will vote in the election.
ROs have also been appointed for the Bar Association elections. Advocate Sanjeev Vashisht, Advocate Sandeep Sachdeva, current Bar Association President Jabar Singh Chaudhary and Secretary Vipinjit Singh will handle the nomination process.
Advocate Vipinjit Singh said that nominations will be taken till 4.30 pm today. Advocate Sanjeev Vashisht and Advocate Ajay Trehan have been appointed as returning officers to take nominations. After 5 pm, it will be known how many applications will be received for which post.
