Ambala: BSP leader shot dead in Naraingarh, two injured

Ambala: BSP leader Harbilas Rajjumajra was shot dead in Naraingarh, Ambala, the hometown of CM Nayab Singh Saini in Haryana. Around 4 miscreants fired at him, out of which 5 bullets hit the leader’s chest. Two of his companions were also injured.

This incident was carried out when the BSP leader was sitting in his car with his companions near Ahluwalia Park. During this time, masked miscreants fired bullets at him.

Let us tell you that in the assembly elections held last year, Harbilas contested from Narayangarh seat as a joint candidate of BSP-INLD. He got more than 28 thousand votes. He was the state secretary of the Bahujan Samaj Party in Haryana.

According to eyewitnesses, three to four masked miscreants came in an i-20 car near Ahluwalia Park at around 7:20 pm on Friday evening. They overtook Harbilas’s car and stopped it and started firing on the car from both sides.

To escape the bullets, Harbilas and his companions ran out of the car. They were going towards a nearby shop, but the attackers chased them and made them fall on the stairs of the shop and fired 5 bullets in their chest. Meanwhile, Harbilas’ friend Chunnu Dang, who was with him, was hit by a bullet. While his third companion Guggal Pandit was injured in the scuffle.

As soon as the shot was fired, there was chaos and the shopkeepers left their shops and ran away. After carrying out the crime in about 3 minutes, the attackers fled from the spot brandishing their weapons. Meanwhile, as soon as the information about the attack was received, Harbilas’ supporters and local people reached the spot. They informed the police.

The police first took all the injured to the Civil Hospital and then to Chandigarh PGI, where Harbilas died. Meanwhile, the condition of his companion Chunnu Dang remains critical.
