Haryana: An I-10 car collided with the wall of the Balsamand Canal bridge in Ghirai village in Hisar, Haryana last night. The front part of the car was completely damaged. Two persons travelling in the car sustained injuries. It was fortunate that the car did not fall into the canal, otherwise the accident would have been major.
According to the information, two youths were going from Ghirai to Barwala via Sulkhani in a car at night. His i10 car crashed on the bridge of Balsamand Sub Branch Canal. There were two persons traveling in the vehicle, who are residents of Barwala. The balance of his car was disturbed due to the light coming on in front. The car has crashed into the wall of the canal bridge. The wall broke and fell into the canal. The car was saved from falling into the canal. The lives of the people traveling in the car were saved when the airbags opened.
Villagers said that due to the small size of the canal bridge, accidents are happening here. The vehicles are repeatedly hitting the canal bridge.
Villagers added that whenever a vehicle comes from the Sulkhani side, the wall of the bridge appears as if it is a road. The car crashes straight into the wall. The administration is not taking any action regarding this.
