Haryana soldier martyrs before become Major

Rohtak: An army soldier from Rohtak, Haryana, was martyred in Gujarat. 

Due to the brain hemorrhage soldier’s brain had burst. He was brought to the hospital, but he died there during treatment. The body of the soldier reached Rohtak on Thursday. The last rites were performed with state honors in his native village, Gaddi Khedi.

Vikrant Kalkal, the uncle’s son, lit the funeral pyre for the soldier. A huge crowd of people gathered to pay tribute to him. He was the only son of his parents. 

Rajesh Kalkal, a resident of village Gaddi Khedi, said that his cousin Mohit Kalkal (28) had joined the Army’s 25th Unit Workshop as a soldier at the age of 18. After this, he was promoted and became a Havildar.

For 11 months of training to become a major, he had gone to Vadodara, Gujarat, and six months of training had been completed. Five months of training were left.

Rajesh said that Mohit’s brain hemorrhage burst during training. After that, Mohit was taken care of and admitted to the hospital for treatment. The doctors started treating Mohit, but after being admitted to the hospital for about 2 days, Mohit died.

Mohit Kalkal got married about four years ago and his three-year-old daughter is also there.

Mohit’s father, Hargyan, was also in the army. The martyred soldier has two sisters who are married.

Kalkal Khap’s head, Rajpal Kalkal, said that the martyred soldier had gone home on leave on April 28. He was to come home after completing his training, but before that, he was martyred.
