Bihar Youth arrested for illegal liquor smuggling in Panipat

Panipat’s Israna police station has arrested a youth in a case of illegal liquor smuggling. Desi liquor was recovered from the accused. Based on secret information, the police caught the youth on the spot.

According to the information, Head Constable Shiv Prasad of Thana Israna was patrolling at the gate of Naultha Grain Market. During this time, he received information from the informer that a youth is standing near Jagbir Kirana Store in Paldi village trying to sell liquor in a plastic bag.

On receiving the information, Shiv Prasad reached the spot with his partner. A person was caught there with a plastic bag. During the search, 10 bottles of desi liquor and 8 packets of Brahmin were recovered from the bag. During interrogation, the accused told his name as Vipin Rawat.

The accused is a resident of Sheikhpura district of Bihar and is currently living in Paldi village of Panipat. The accused did not have any permit or license for liquor. The police have sealed one bottle and one quarter for sample. The remaining liquor has been seized and a case has been registered under the Excise Act. The accused has been arrested
