Mirzapur: A sub-inspector riding a bike died in an accident in a head-on collision with a speeding pickup near Mirzapur village adjacent to the city, while his wife riding on the bike was seriously injured.
According to the information, after the bike collided with the pickup, which is also called a vehicle called Chota Hathi, the injured sub-inspector Kuldeep, 43, and his wife Suresh Kumari were seriously injured. Both were admitted to a private hospital in the city for treatment.
During treatment, Sub Inspector Kuldeep posted in Haryana Police died. His wife Suresh Kumari is undergoing treatment. Sadar police station is investigating the matter. It is being told that Kuldeep, a resident of Mirzapur village, was working as a sub-inspector in the police department.
His duty was going on in Gurgaon. He was on leave since December 9. On Monday, he came to Hisar on a bike with his wife Suresh Kumari for some work. Late in the evening, Kuldeep was returning to his village. When he reached near the village, a pickup vehicle coming from the front at a high speed hit the bike.
In this accident, the couple riding the bike fell on the road and got injured. The family members brought both of them to a private hospital for treatment, where Sub Inspector Kuldeep died. Sadar police station is investigating the case. On Tuesday, the police got the post-mortem done and handed over the body to the family.
