Burglars break into locked house, goods worth lakhs stolen

Hisar: In Hansi of Hisar district, thieves broke into the house of a woman who had gone to tie a rakhi to her brother on Raksha Bandhan and stole goods worth lakhs. After she returned the next day, to her shock woman found her belongings here and there and locks broken.

The case is of Vikas Nagar. The victim Sonia said that her mother-in-law had gone to Bahadurgarh to meet her son and she had gone to her maternal home in Rajthal due to Raksha Bandhan.

Sonia said that before leaving for her maternal home, she had locked her house properly. When she returned home the next day, she saw that the locks of the house were broken. When she went inside, all the goods were lying scattered here and there.

When Sonia saw the cupboard in the room, the lockers of both the cupboards were also broken. The items kept in the cupboard included 9 gram gold gents ring, 4-gram gold ladies ring, 4-gram gold tops, 4-gram gold Kanoti, 10 tola silver anklet, 08 tola silver anklet, 10-gram silver coins and Rs 93 thousand cash kept in the cupboard were found stolen.

A complaint has been lodged and police have started the investigation.
