Canter collides with Bullet on highway, two dead

Panipat: Due to fog in Panipat, two bike riders met with an accident, due to which they died on the spot. On Monday morning, two friends were going from Delhi to Haridwar on a Bullet on the National Highway near Patti Kalyana village in Samalkha. Then due to fog, their bike collided with a canter on the way.

The deceased students have been identified as Krish and Anurag, both of whom studied in a private school in Delhi, whose age is said to be around 20 years. Krish was a resident of Delhi, while Anurag was a resident of Bihar. The accident took place near a petrol pump near Patti Kalyana at around 4 am, where due to dense fog, their Delhi number bullet motorcycle collided with a canter.

After the accident, the canter driver fled from the spot. On receiving the information, Haldana Chowki police reached the spot and both the youths were taken to General Hospital Samalkha, where doctors declared them dead. The bodies have been kept in the mortuary of Panipat, which will be handed over to the family after postmortem.

According to Haldana Chowki Incharge Kuldeep, a case has been registered against the absconding canter driver and his search is on. Police is claiming to arrest the accused soon.
