Chandigarh: The CBI has arrested an ASI of Chandigarh Police in a bribery case. This ASI was posted at the Sector 26 police station. Another of his colleagues is absconding from the spot. The CBI has started action against both. The CBI has currently taken the accused ASI from the Sector 26 police station for questioning.
The CBI had received a complaint against the accused. Based on this complaint, CBI has taken this action by setting a trap. In this case, Chandigarh SSP Kanwardeep Kaur says that such information has come.
But there is no complete information in it yet.
The ASI posted in Sector 26 police station arrested by the CBI has been identified as Satish. ASI Satish is the Mal Khana Munshi in Sector 26 Police Station. The other ASI, Vijendra, is absconding from the spot. ASI Vijendra had sent Satish to take money from someone outside the police station. In the initial interrogation, Satish told the CBI that he was not aware that the money he was going to take was bribe money because Bijender had not told him anything about it.
