Case of robbery at liquor shop in Charkhi Dadri

Charkhi Dadri: Charkhi Dadri police have succeeded in arresting one accused in the case of assaulting and robbing a salesman working at a liquor shop in Charkhi village in Haryana’s Charkhi Dadri district on Friday. The police produced him in court and took him on a three-day remand.

Giving information on Tuesday, the police spokesperson said that on Friday, 10–12 youths broke into the liquor shop located in Charkhi village and vandalized the shop. When the salesman working at the liquor shop tried to stop the accused, they started beating him, resulting in two salesmen being injured.

Liquor contractor Hansraj had told the police that a person from the village had threatened him over the phone that if he wanted to run the liquor shop, he should either do his share or pay him money every month. If he did not do so, he would set the liquor shop on fire. The accused also threatened him by saying that his brother was absconding in many cases, and if he wanted to run the shop in the village, he would have to do one of the two things.

When he refused to give his share and money, 10–12 youths reached the liquor shop, broke the gate, vandalized the shop, tried to set it on fire, beat up the salesman, and threatened to kill him by showing him a pistol. After vandalizing, they took away the money kept in the shop from the neck.
