Chief Minister Seeks Blessings from Saints for Haryana’s Development

Haryana’s Chief Minister, Sh. Nayab Singh Saini, sought the blessings of saints for the state’s development while speaking as the Chief Guest at the 12th Annual Festival of Acharyakulam at Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar. He extended good wishes for Dhanteras, Diwali, Annakoot (Govardhan Puja), Bhai Dooj, and Chhath to all attendees. He expressed his delight in being at “Hari’s Dwar” and felt fortunate to be in the company of saints.

The Chief Minister requested the saints’ blessings in his quest to foster new avenues of development in Haryana. He mentioned that visiting the sacred banks of the Ganges has revitalized him, filling him with renewed energy and purpose as he returns to his state.

He commended Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev for his efforts in promoting Ayurveda and Yoga, highlighting the Haryana Government’s initiatives in these areas. Approximately 6,500 gyms have been set up in panchayats, wellness centers established in villages, and yoga teachers appointed to motivate the youth towards yoga practice.

Yoga has been introduced as a mandatory subject for grades one to ten, and the establishment of Sri Krishna Ayush University in Kurukshetra and a research center in Jhajjar further showcases the government’s commitment. Moreover, 506 Ayurvedic dispensaries and Ayushman centers have been created.

During the event, Swami Ramdev announced plans to establish a larger Acharyakulam in Haryana compared to the one in Haridwar. The Chief Minister expressed his full support for this initiative, stating it would proudly represent the people of Haryana. He believes that the youth trained at this Acharyakulam will be foundational pillars of society and highlighted the institution’s role in fostering both economic and ideological development for the nation, steering it towards global prominence.

Upon arriving at the Patanjali Yoga Sansthan in Haridwar, Acharya Balkrishna welcomed him with flowers. Before attending the main event, the Chief Minister toured the Kanya Gurukul, Wellness Center, and Research Center at Patanjali Sansthan. He showed particular interest in the Ayurvedic Research Center, engaging in detailed discussions about the facilities with Dr. Anurag Varshney and spoke of plans to create similar research institutes in Haryana.
