Clash between Haryana Police and AAP party workers protesting against arrest of CM Kejriwal

Chandigarh : There has been political turmoil after the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal. AAP workers in Haryana and Punjab are opposing this. On Friday, there was a clash between AAP workers and police on the Haryana and Chandigarh border.

Water cannon along with lathi charges was used on AAP workers. Along with AAP leaders, police personnel were also injured in this clash. Blood was also seen flowing from the heads of many leaders.

AAP workers reached Kurukshetra, Haryana to surround the residence of CM Nayab Saini. The police already deployed here stopped them. When the atmosphere deteriorated, the police used water cannons on the workers. Later lathicharge was also done.

AAP leader Anurag Dhanda has suffered a head injury. A lot of blood flowed from his head. Sushil Gupta was also injured. Both the leaders have been taken to the government hospital for treatment.

DSP Ramkumar was also injured in this clash. Seeing the situation, Kurukshetra SP Surendra Bhauria reached the spot. The police have chased away the workers.


When AAP leaders and supporters from Mohali moved towards Chandigarh, they were stopped by the police at the Chandigarh border. These people have been stopped just behind the jail.

Here the workers climbed the barricades erected by the police. After which the police used water cannon and mild force on them. During this, the police detained several MLAs including four Punjab ministers Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer Aman Arora and Lal Chand Kataruchak.
