Cold wave hit Haryana after rain-hailstorm; temperature drops by 6 degrees

Hisar: Due to rain and hailstorm in Haryana, cold has returned once again. While the day temperature in Haryana was between 28 to 29 degrees, now it has come down to between 22 to 24 degrees. Due to this, the cold has started being felt again. Meteorologists have also expressed the possibility of the weather remaining like this for a week.

In Haryana, the temperature of Sirsa and Balsamand of Hisar has reached close to 21 degrees. 3 days ago this temperature had crossed 28 degrees. Apart from this, the temperature in Hisar was recorded at 22.5 degrees which is 3 degrees below normal.

Meteorologists say that there will be a slight increase in the maximum temperature for 2 to 3 days but the night temperature will start falling. After this, another western disturbance will knock in Haryana on 26 and 27 February due to which light to moderate rain may occur at some places. Let us tell you that rain and hailstorm were seen in Haryana 2 days ago. Hail fell in 5 districts of Haryana, Panipat, Kaithal, Jind, Karnal and Fatehabad.

The snowfall in the mountains has affected the plains. The cold has increased in the plains due to the snowfall and a drop in temperature has been recorded. Dr. Madan Khichad, Head of the Department of Agricultural Meteorology, Haryana Agricultural University, said that the weather in Haryana is likely to remain generally variable but dry till February 26.

During this period, till 24th February, north and north-western winds will blow at light to moderate speed and night temperature is likely to fall slightly. But during 25th and 26th February, due to partial effect of western disturbance, there is a possibility of change in winds and partly cloudy weather at some places in the state. Due to this, day temperature is likely to fall slightly.
