Ban on Mobile Phones Inside Polling Booth.

Haryana: To conduct the voting peacefully 19 QRT teams, 12 SSTs, 20 FSTs and 4 thousand policemen have been deployed in the field. Apart from this, 85 sector officers and 85 sector police officers have also been given special training. District Election Officer and DC Nishant Kumar Yadav informed that CCTV cameras will be installed at all 1333 booths in the district. Whose webcasting will be in the control room established at the district headquarters. At the same time, services of NCC volunteers will also be taken for smooth voting at 500 booths in the district.

Regarding the Lok Sabha general elections, District Election Officer and DC Nishant Kumar Yadav held a press conference on Tuesday in the conference hall of the Mini Secretariat and informed about the election preparations. He said that under Gurugram Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency, voting is to be held at 1333 booths on May 25 in the sixth phase in the district. All preparations for voting have been completed by the district administration. He said that 7 thousand polling staff have been deployed in Gurugram district for voting. They have been given three levels of training related to the election process.

CCTV cameras will be installed at 1333 booths, webcasting will be done in the control room at the district headquarters.

Voters of Gurgaon, Pataudi and Badshahpur in the district can see the queue at the polling booth and come to vote as per their convenience. He said that BLOs have been instructed to set up voter assistance booths at every polling station in the district to assist the voters. He informed that the voting process will start in the district on May 25 at 7 am. Before this, a mock poll will also be conducted at 5.30 am under the leadership of the presiding officer in the presence of a polling agent to ensure transparency in the elections. He clarified that no voter will be allowed to carry a mobile phone inside the polling booth. If any person is found disobeying the above orders, legal action will be taken against him under the rules laid down by the Election Commission.

In the district DC said that amidst the severe heat, on the day of voting, basic facilities including voter waiting area, arrangement of tents for protection from dust, fans and coolers along with paramedical staff will also be present at all the centres. DC said that the Election Commission is also providing the facility of Voter in Queue app so that voters do not have to wait too long at the polling station.
