Charkhi Dadri drug smuggler gets 10 year sentence and Rs 1 lakh fine for Cannabis seizure

Charkhi Dadri: The court of Session Judge Naresh Kumar in Charkhi Dadri, Haryana has sentenced a person resident of Pandawan to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1 lakh in the case of selling drugs. If he does not pay the fine amount, he will have to serve additional jail time. The police arrested him in March 2022 while selling cannabis in front of the temple.

Dadri police spokesperson said on Saturday that the court sentenced Ramniwas of village Pandawan to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1 lakh. The HSNCB Rohtak team had registered a case against him at Sadar Dadri police station on March 1, 2022. On March 1, 2022, the team was present at Loharu Chowk Dadri to prevent drugs.

The police team had received information that Ramniwas, a resident of Pandawan, was selling drugs in front of the temple. Considering the importance of the information, the police team arrested the accused Ramnivas from Pandavan with 1 kg and 20 grams of cannabis. The team registered a case under the relevant sections at Sadar Police Station Dadri without any delay.

After this, the investigation unit assessed the important evidence and took effective action in the case arrested the accused and presented him before the court. The court, while hearing the case, sentenced the accused Ramnivas to 10 years imprisonment and a fine of 1 lakh rupees.
