Daylight robbery in Panipat; masked miscreants looted Rs 4 lakh from PNB bank branch

Four miscreants carried out a robbery in broad daylight in Panipat city of Haryana today. Around 10:30 am, masked miscreants entered the branch of Punjab National Bank (PNB) in Dhoop Singh Nagar of the city. They pushed the employees aside at gunpoint and fled after taking out money from the drawer. Robbers looted over Rs 4 lakh from the branch.

The four miscreants had come on a bike. As per the branch operator, the miscreants have fled with more than 4 lakh rupees. The whole robbery was executed at gunpoint.

Branch operator Harish’s brother K Pradeep has said that he had employed some people and same people were also present at the time of robbery. Pradeep said that shortly after the employees opened the branch, four miscreants arrived on a bike and on gun point looted the cash.

Pradeep further added that the robbers intimidated the employees in the branch as soon as they arrived. All the robbers had covered their faces. They showed the pistol and asked employees to pick up the bag and put all the money in it.

Police reached the spot as soon as they got the information. DSP Suresh Saini inspected the scene. A case has been registered against unknown persons on the statement of the victims. Police is trying to reach the miscreants with the help of CCTV cameras installed in the entire area. This incident has created panic in the entire area.
