Summer Breaks Boosts Train Crowds: Railways runs special Haridwar-Sabarmati train

Haryana: Due to the summer holidays, the number of passengers in trains has started increasing. The biggest crowd is in the trains going towards the hill station. In such a situation, in view of the extra crowd during summer holidays, Railways has operated Sabarmati-Haridwar-Sabarmati (5 trips) bi-weekly special train. This train will run via Rewari-Gurugram.

According to Captain Shashi Kiran, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Western Railway, train number 09425, Sabarmati-Haridwar bi-weekly special train will depart from Sabarmati every Friday and Monday at 18.45 hrs from May 31 to June 14 and reach Haridwar at 19.00 hrs the next day. Similarly, train number 09426, Haridwar-Sabarmati bi-weekly special train will depart from Haridwar every Saturday and Tuesday at 21.45 hrs from June 1 to June 15 and reach Sabarmati at 22.30 hrs the next day.

This train operates on the railway route via Mahesana, Palanpur, Abu Road, Pindwara, Jawai Bandh, Falna, Rani, Marwar Junction, Ajmer, Kishangarh, Phulera, Ringas, Neemkathana, Narnaul, Rewari, Gurgaon, Delhi Cantt, Delhi, Ghaziabad, Meerut City, Muzaffarnagar. And will stop at Roorkee station. The train will have a total of 18 coaches including 2 third AC, 12 second sleeper, 2 ordinary class and 2 guard coaches.

This time the government has announced holidays in schools 3 days in advance from 28th May to 30th June. Talking about Rewari district, out of these 28 days in the month of May, the maximum temperature has crossed 40 degrees on 25 days. If we talk about the last one week, the temperature has remained around 45 degrees. Due to the scorching heat, people are moving towards hill stations.
