On Monday night around 1 o’clock, an encounter took place between bike-borne miscreants and CIA-2 on Rohtak’s outer bypass, Gohana Jind Road. Around 9 to 10 rounds of firing took place in the encounter, in which two miscreants were shot in the leg.
After this, the police arrested both of them and admitted them to the trauma center of PGI. The miscreants injured in the encounter were identified as Puran, a resident of village Polangi and Aman, a resident of village Kharanti.
On May 20, the accused had tried to shoot the salesman by firing at Sombir’s liquor shop near Meham bus stand and also threatened the salesman. Both the injured are undergoing treatment in the trauma center.
CIA-2 in-charge Satish Kumar said that the police are trying to catch the wanted criminals. Meanwhile, he received secret information that two miscreants are coming towards the city on a bike on the Gohana Jind Road, who are planning to commit a crime. After the information, the team reached the spot and tried to stop the accused. During this time, the accused started firing.
SHO Satish Kumar said that both the accused have a criminal record. Accused Aman has 3 to 4 cases registered against him, while Puran has 2 cases registered against him. The criminal record of the accused is being investigated. The police are also questioning both the accused in the case to find out if they have any connection with any gang.
Firing happened late at night
An encounter took place between the police and the criminals around 1 am. 9 to 10 rounds of firing took place from both sides for about 15 minutes, after which the criminals were controlled by shooting them in the leg. Both the injured are undergoing treatment at the trauma center, their condition is out of danger now.
The criminals will be questioned
CIA-2 in-charge Satish Kumar said that both the accused caught after the encounter will be questioned. Information is being gathered whether they have any connection with any gang or not. The criminal record of both is also being investigated. The police is investigating the matter.
