Tragic incident in Faridabad: 3 siblings dies as house balcony collapses, buried under rubble

Faridabad: In the Faridabad district of Haryana, late Friday evening, the balcony of a dilapidated house collapsed in the Sikri area. Three children died after being trapped under the debris. Among the three deceased, there are two brothers and a sister. The bodies of the three children have been kept in the mortuary at BK Hospital. The post-mortem of the bodies will be done today.

Village Sarpanch Vivek Chhokra and neighbour Savitri Devi saw some children playing outside the house under the balcony at around 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Suddenly, the balcony fell on them. The children got buried under the debris. They were somehow taken out, but all three had died. They have been identified as 12-year-old Aditya Kumar, 10-year-old Muskan, and 8-year-old Akash. All three are siblings.

Sarpanch Vivek Chhokra said that this building is in a very dilapidated condition. The iron gutters installed in it had rusted. 10 families live here due to the low rent. The family of the deceased children is from Bihar.

After getting the information about the accident, Faridabad’s Sector 58 police station in-charge, Krishna Kumar, reached the spot and said that all three children were siblings. Their father, Dharmendra, works for a company, while their mother sells goods on a handcart. None of the parents were at home at the time of the incident. The house in which Dharmendra’s family lives is very old and dilapidated. This is the reason why the balcony fell. The police are investigating.

Sikri Police station incharge, Lalit said that immediately after getting the information about the incident, he reached the spot with his team, rescued the children, and sent them to Badshah Khan Civil Hospital. By then, the children had died. At present, the bodies of all have been kept in the mortuary of Badshah Khan Civil Hospital for post-mortem. In this case, action will be taken by taking a complaint from the victim’s family against the landlord, Rakesh.
