Faridabad: Shopkeeper receives ransom call from Lawrence gang, Rs 10 Lakh demanded

Faridabad: A ransom of 10 lakhs was demanded from the owner of a grocery store in Faridabad, Haryana in the name of gangster Lawrence. The caller told the shopkeeper that if he wanted to save his son, he should arrange for the money. The shopkeeper immediately complained about this to the police. The shopkeeper has also handed over the recording to the police. The police have registered a case and started investigation.

Subhash Colony shopkeeper Keshav Jain told the police that he received a call from a person at around 10 pm on Thursday night. He asked if Mayank Jain is your son. To which he said that yes, he is my son. To this, the caller said that he had been on surveillance for a week.

The caller further threatened that if he wanted to save his son’s life, then 10 lakh rupees should be arranged. He told the caller that he don’t have this much money. To this the caller disconnected the call by calling himself a member of Lawrence’s gang. He immediately complained about the matter to the police.

Adarsh ​​Nagar police station in-charge Harikishan said that the number from which the call came is being investigated. A complaint has been received from shopkeeper Keshav Jain this morning and the accused demanding ransom will be arrested soon.
