Farmers keep Khatkar toll free for third day in Jind: Unsuccessful talks with toll workers extend protest

Uchana: Farmers made the toll-free for vehicles near Khatkar village on the Uchana National Highway in the Jind district of Haryana by staging an indefinite protest for the third day. The protest was chaired by Gurudev Ujhana. On Tuesday, farmers from nearby villages also reached the protest. The speakers said that till the demands of the farmers are met, the toll will be kept free for vehicles.

The meeting that was held between Khatkar toll workers and farmer leaders had not been successful till the time of writing the news. The toll was free for vehicles. Gurudev Ujhana, Bhupendra Jaglan, said that along with registering a case against those who misbehaved with Ravi Azad, there is a demand to make the toll free for the villagers of 20 villages around the toll, toll free for vehicles with the flag of any farmer organization, and toll-free on the I card. Khatkar toll is one of the most expensive tolls in the whole of Haryana.

The employees here misbehave with the farmer leaders. After showing the ID card of the farmer organization, they snatch it away. Now the farmer organizations will not tolerate such incidents. Until the police administration takes action against those who have misbehaved with the farmer leaders and the demands of the farmers are not met, the farmers will keep the toll-free.
