Rohtak: A case of participation on the basis of fake documents in the trials of Junior Asian Championship held at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Rohtak has come to light. The accused boxer won by defeating the boxer from Hisar in the final match. After this a case of playing based on fake documents was registered on the complaint of the father of the boxer from Hisar. The police are investigating the matter.
Naresh Walia, a resident of Shastri Nagar Ward 4, Hisar, complained to the police. In the complaint, he told that the trials of Asian Championship were held on 11 August at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Rohtak and his son Devansh’s final match in the 80 kg weight category in the junior group was with boxer Hardik.
He added that looking at him, it seemed that he was older. When age-related documents were asked from him, he refused to show the papers.
Naresh Walia told that to know the truth, he got the birth certificate of boxer Hardik made from Sonipat. His date of birth was shown as 25 March 2005 in his certificate. Whereas he misled the Federation on the basis of fake documents dated March 25, 2008 to participate in the trials for the Asian Championship.
