Fir engulfs 2 factories in Sonipat: one burnt to ashes; delay in Fir Brigade response raises concerns

Sonipat: A fire broke out in Ramnagar Industrial Area in Ganaur of Sonipat district. Two factories have caught fire there. The first factory has been completely burnt to ashes, while efforts are on to extinguish the fire in the second factory. At present, more than half a dozen fire brigade vehicles have reached the spot and are trying to control the fire. Badi Thana Police has also reached there. Police is also investigating the matter.

According to preliminary information, this accident happened due to some worker ignited garbage. The fire spread rapidly and reached the nearby chemical and plastic factory.

The factory owner alleges that after the fire broke out, the fire brigade was called from many places including Ganaur, but no one responded on time. He says that if the fire brigade had acted on time, at least one factory could have been saved.

Fire in drum making and printing factory

The incident took place in two factories located on Ramnagar Road. One factory used to make drums, while the other factory used to do printing on drums. A fire broke out in the drum manufacturing factory at around 6:30 in the morning, and within a few hours the entire factory was burnt to ashes. The fire was so fierce that it also engulfed the nearby printing factory.

Fire brigade and police reached the spot

However, now more than half a dozen fire brigade vehicles have reached the spot and are trying to extinguish the fire. Badi Thana police is also present at the spot and is investigating the matter. According to the factory owners, this fire has caused a loss of crores of rupees. The police and fire department are investigating the reasons behind this incident. This accident has also raised questions on the working style of the fire department.
