Flights to 5 states from Hisar airport next month: Govt submits ATR to DGCA; License may be granted this week

Haryana’s first airport can start before Uttar Pradesh’s Jewar Airport. Both the states are active in starting their own airports. The Haryana government wants that Haryana’s airport should start before UP’s Jewar Airport.

There is a plan to start flights from UP’s Jewar Airport from April 17. Now the Aviation Ministry of Haryana Government has intensified monitoring regarding this. According to sources, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has submitted the Action Taken Report (ATR) of Haryana’s only Hisar Airport to the Airport Authority of India (AAI).

This report has been submitted on 27 February. Along with this, the Haryana government is constantly in touch with AAI for the license process. If everything goes well, Hisar Airport can get the license this week. After this, the Haryana government can start flights in the first or second week of April.

According to airport sources, Hisar Airport can get the license before Jewar Airport. Flights will start from Jewar Airport to 7 places. There is a plan to start flights to 5 places from Hisar Airport.

Air services will start from Jewar to cities like Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Varanasi, Chennai, Jaipur, Hyderabad and Mumbai.

At the same time, flights will depart from Hisar Airport to Ayodhya, Jammu, Jaipur, Delhi and Ahmedabad. While the DGCA team will visit Jewar Airport, the team has already visited Hisar and submitted the report.
