Flights to four places from Ambala’s domestic airport have been approved. In this, Ambala to Ayodhya, Jammu, Srinagar and Lucknow routes have been finalized. Now the process is going on to bring the airline service provider company on these routes. This work is being done through the state’s Civil Aviation Department and Airport Authority of India. Here, the civil work that was to be done at the domestic airport in Ambala Cantonment has been completed. Along with this, special training has also been given to the staff from the security point of view.
The terminal has also been named Cantonment Airport. This name was kept so that time is not wasted in any kind of big process for the name. If everything goes well, then after the code of conduct, flights will be able to start from here on these four routes in a short time.
RCS i.e. Regional Connectivity Scheme of the Government of India, which is also called Udaan. Under this, first two routes from Ambala to Ayodhya and Ambala to Srinagar were selected. After this, Energy, Transport and Labor Minister Anil Vij also started efforts regarding Jammu and Lucknow route. In such a situation, now the Civil Aviation Department has selected all four routes.
Now wait is for the company to start flight service on these routes and complete all the procedures with them. It is said that many big airlines are also interested in starting air service from Ambala Cantonment. However, till now the Civil Aviation Department has not clarified which company is ready to provide services on these routes.
