Late night encounter in Sonipat: Delhi and Haryana Police neutralize 3 Bhau gang sharpshooters

Sonipat: On Friday night in Sonipat, Haryana, there was an encounter between the police and the criminals. In this, the police killed three notorious sharpshooters of the notorious gangster Ransom King Himanshu Bhau gang. During this, Arun, a sub-inspector of the Delhi Crime Branch, was also shot. The police sent the bodies of the three criminals to the hospital at night.

The criminals killed in the police encounter have been identified as Ashish alias Lalu, a resident of Hisar; Sunny Kharar, a resident of Kharar village in Hisar; and Vicky, a resident of Rindhana village in Gohana, Sonipat. They are involved in many murders and other crimes, including the ransom demanded from businessmen in Hisar. The police had placed a reward of lakhs of rupees on their arrest. All of them have about 29 cases registered against them in Haryana and Delhi, like robbery, murder, and ransom. The police had been searching for them for a long time.

According to the information, this joint operation was carried out by the Sonipat STF (Special Task Force) and New Delhi Range Police on the Chhinauli bypass in Kharkhauda village of Sonipat. The police have also recovered five automatic weapons from these criminals.

At around 9 p.m. on Friday, the team was patrolling under the leadership of STF Sonipat in-charge Yogendra Dahiya. At the same time, a team from the New Delhi Range Crime Branch was also in the Kharkhoda area. During this time, the team got information that three criminals associated with the Bhau Gang were coming from Chhinauli Road. The police had information that they had weapons. Meanwhile, the police set up a checkpoint near Rohtak bypass.

After some time, the police saw a white Kia car coming. When the police tried to stop it, the criminals in the car tried to run away and the police warned them, they opened fire on the police and police retaliated. After which, several rounds of firing took place from both sides. In which three sharpshooters were shot. The police took them to the hospital, where doctors declared them dead.

In this joint operation, STF Sonipat in-charge Yogendra Dahiya, ASI Ramniwas, Rajendra Kumar, Amit Kumar, Praveen Kumar, Vikas, Rohit, Rakesh Kumar, and the Delhi Crime Branch team included DCP Amit Goyal, ACP Umesh Barthwal, Inspector Rampal, Sub Inspector Mukesh, Sub Inspector Hemant, Sub Inspector Pramod, Narendra Kumar, Amit Gulia, Amit Sindhu, Ombir, Sanjay, and Dharmendra from the Crime Branch.

After the Burger King incident in Delhi, the miscreants demanded a ransom of Rs 5 crore by firing at the Mahindra showroom in Hisar’s Auto Market. Here, the miscreants were captured in the CCTV footage. When Delhi Police reached out to investigate the matter, it was found that these miscreants were the same ones who killed Aman June at Burger King. Its CCTV footage came out. A woman was also sitting next to Aman June in the footage. After this, the accused were identified.

A woman named Anu was also involved in the shootout at the Burger King outlet. She had allegedly honeytrapped 26-year-old Aman before shooting him dead. Anu is also known as “Lady Don” in the Bhau Gang.

She is a close associate of gangster Himanshu Bhau. It is worth noting that CCTV footage of Aman’s murder inside the Burger King outlet came out on June 20. It was clearly seen in the video that this murder was carried out inside it on June 18.

Crook Himanshu, alias Bhau, has become a headache for Haryana and Delhi. There is a reward of Rs 2.50 lakh for Bhau. One lakh rupees for Rohtak, 50 thousand for Jhajjar, and one lakh rupees for him have been announced by Delhi Police. According to the police, there are more than 12 henchmen in the Bhau gang. Bhau has 10 cases registered against him in Rohtak and 7 in Jhajjar. Apart from this, more than 30 cases have been registered against his henchmen. Himanshu of Ritoli village in Rohtak fled abroad on a fake passport in 2022. A red-corner notice was issued against him in 2023. His last location was found in Portugal. Himanshu’s name is included in the list of the top 10 most wanted gangsters in the country.

The two criminals killed in the encounter were involved in murder, robbery, and extortion cases in Haryana and Delhi. Ashish Lalu, a resident of Kharia in Hisar, and Sunny, a resident of Kharar, were in the world of crime for the last seven years. Dozens of cases are registered against both of them in police records. Hisar police had put a reward of Rs 10,000 on Lalu. Both of them entered the world of crime through the liquor business.
