52 Gurugram flat owners face action under foreigners Act for not reproting foreign tenants

Gurugram: In the Gurugram district of Haryana, police have registered a case against 52 flat owners in a famous society of the city. The police is now preparing to take action against all flat owners under the Foreigners Act. All the owners will be questioned and they will be included in the investigation.

On Tuesday, Bhondsi police station was investigating the society-given security on the occasion of Independence Day, and negligence was revealed. According to the information, Bhondsi police station reached Central Park Society Dhunela on Sohna Road on Tuesday to investigate given security on the occasion of Independence Day. Police personnel sought information about the people living in the society from the state manager of the society. On checking the records, it was revealed that 52 owners in the J-Tower of the society had rented their flats to foreigners.

After giving the rent, no information was given to the police by the flat owners, nor was the C-form filled out under the Foreigners Act. A police investigation revealed that foreign nationals have been living in the society for a long time. Information about foreign nationals was also collected by the police. All passport and visa-related documents were found complete. Police took action and registered a case against 52 flat owners in Bhondsi police station. All the owners have been called by giving notice. Information will be sought by investigating everyone. Since when were the flats rented to foreign nationals by them.

A police spokesperson said that if any foreign national stays in their hotel, house, guest house, or flat, then it is mandatory to inform the police about it. Fill out the C form in compliance with Section 7 of the Foreigner Act. There is a provision of punishment of up to 5 years under Section 14 of the Foreigner Act for violating the rules. He said that any person can fill out the C form through the online portal of the Bureau of Immigration by completing the registration process on the FRRO website, indianfrro.gov.in.
